Wine charms

Hi everybody, this is probably gonna be my last post for the Holidays.  I'm going away to see family and I won't have my craft room!
I made these little wine charms with Shrinky Dinks.  I welded the snowman from Doddlecharm with the hat from Paper Doll Dress up.  I then cut them with my Expression at Blade depth 6, speed 3, pressure 5 and multi cut at 3.  I colored with Copics and then shrunk them with my heat gun.  Much faster this way, you just have to be careful!
Before shrinking them
I used Staz-on ink for the Peachy Keen stamp faces.  You have to remember to punch a hole before shrinking them!
Close up with the cute PKS face!

WAW, everything is suddenly so big!!!

The charms with beads.
The snowflakes are from Accent Essentials.  The first snowmen I did, I totally forgot to use my PKS faces:(  I just colored them with Copics!
Close up with the beads.
The Santa stamps are from Stampin' Up.  They were cut with Create a Critter.  The beads, wire hoop, jump rings and spacer are from Michaels.  Can you believe how cute those spacers are?!!!  They look like tiny gold ornament.  I had to use pliers to finish the hoop so that the beads don't fall off and to keep it close.
The gift box to put all of them.

Decorated box.
For the box, I used a piece that I already made for another project.  You can see it here.  The snowflake is from the Winter Lace cartridge cut at 4".  I then added ton of Stickles in pink and put bling with my I-Rock.
This gift is for my mother-in-law.  She's receiving for Christmas and there's gonna be a lot of us!!!  Don't want to mix those drinks up, lol!!!
Hope you all have a great Holiday.

Joyeuses Fêtes

I'm entering this card in the challenge from Stampin' for the Weekend.
I sponged behing the memory glass with different inks to make the background, then I stamped with black Staz-on ink for the trees.  The stamps, ribbon, brads and paper is SU.   It's a simple card and very fast to put together.
Thanks for stopping by,
Brigitte

MPS Day 2 of 12 days of Christmas

At My Pink Stamper, she has a challenge to make a project using two shades of pink, two shades of blue and black.  This is my spin on it:
I had the little woman done since I got my Forever Young cartridge, but I didn't know where to use her.  When I saw the challenge, I just knew she would fit perfectly!  The swirl were cut with Storybook, it's actually the shift portion of 2 that I cut twice.  I added lots of Diamond stickles for some sparkle and also some bling with my I-Rock!.  The Bashful Blue piece of cardstock is emboss with the D'vine Swirl folder and the Brilliant Blue is punched with MS punch.  The paper is SU, the ribbon is from Micheals.  I added some faux stitching with a white gel pen.
I didn't put a sentiment, I will wait to see when I will use it.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and please leave a comment!

Sassy Mrs. Claus

Hello,
I'm entering this card for two challenges:
Sketch Saturday Week 133

and One Stop Craft Challenge :  Sassy Christmas
The paper, ink and stamps are SU.  I cut the corner and the silver backing with Storybook cartridge and the flowers with Gypsy Wandering.  I colored the picture with Copics.  The background is actually white paper that I smeared silver ink on it!  I put some Crystal stickles and Viva Decor Pearl for accents.
I crinkled and sponged the flowers with two different ink colours and then sprayed some water on them to give a watercolor effect.
This card is the sister of this one.   I used the same colour theme and the flower are from the same cartridge.
Hope you like it,
Brigitte

Celebrate with a Martini

Hi everybody,
I had a long day.  For 3 hours, I got dunk upside down in a pool for egress training !  We have to do this training to prepare us if it ever happens when we fly in the helicopter.  My vision is fuzzy because of that, but I still manage to make a card.
I used the Smiley cartridge again, lol!!!  I hid the eyes and mouth because I wanted I more elegant card.  I put Glitter Ritz in gold and warm highlights on the glass and Crystal Effects on the olive for some shine.
The stamp, ribbon and paper is SU.  The "Celebrate" didn't show up on the background, so I went carefully around it with my black pen.  Let me tell you, after today, it was a pretty hard task to focus on anything!!!  I handwrote the rest of it.  The bubbles are Viva Decor pearls.
Inside it just says Happy Birthday.  This is also a card for a co-worker.  He works so very hard and I want to acknowledge that!

Little devil's card

Hello bloggers and crafters!
I made this sweet card for somebody I work with.

I used the cartridge Smiley cards cut at 3".  The phrase is cut at 1.25".  The patterned paper is DCWV and the rest is SU.  I used Shrinky dink for the little charm in the card.  He has two daughters, so he can  give them the charms.

Have a great day,
Brigitte

Viva Decor Pearl

Happy week-end to everybody!
I just got my Viva Decor Pearl, woo hoo!!!  So, I made another Christmas card!  I have over 60 and I only need about 35:)
The patterned paper is SU In color 07'.  The stamps, ink and ribbon is also from SU.  I cut the circle and stamp shape with my Cricut.  The circle are from George and Basic Shapes and the stamps are from Create a Critter.  I added some buttons and bling in the form of stickles and Viva Decor Peal in gold.
I embossed the tree with Rainbow sparkle powder and I used the D'vine Swirl folder for the background.
Hope you enjoy,
P.S.:  My boss loved the card I gave him!!!  You can see it here.

Round Christmas card

Hello,
I made this simple card for Cricut Cardz challenge 54.  It had to be a round Christmas card with no red or green.

I welded two scallop circles (from Birthday Bash) together with my Gypsy to make the base card.  Then I cut another circle just a little bit smaller in some Tim Holtz patterned paper.  I cut the ornament with the Trim the Tree Lite cartridge.  The paper is SU and the ribbon is from Michaels.  For the intricate part, I used white card stock and then put some platinum ink on it!  For the final touch, I added some bling with my I-Rock!
Hope you like it,
Brigitte

Santa's coming

Hi, Christmas is coming!!!  I'm so excited, I get to go home soon and see my friends and family.  We live about 13 hours away from our hometown.  Sometimes, it's hard to be in the military and be far from our loved ones...  Anyway, I made this card for Sketch Saturday
This is what I made:
I colored the stamps with Copics.  I'm so proud of the golden colour that I came up with!!!  I added some Diamond stickles to the white accents of the clothing.  I also put a dab of Crystal Effect on the pocket watch.  The flowers were cut with Gypsy Wandering on my Expression.  I sponged and distressed pretty much everything!  The stamps, paper, punch and ink is SU.  I put some Crystal stickles on the flowers
I will give this card to my boss...  I hope that it will bring a smile to his face.  (He can be pretty grumpy, but don't tell him I said so, lol)

Smiley Ha-P B-Day

Hello to all of you,
I made this card for one of my co-worker.  It's his birthday tomorrow and I wanted to make sure he wasn't forgotten.  We're military, so I decided to have a "camouflage" birthday hat.  And since we're in the Air Force, I put a blue piece of cardstock in the back.
I use the smiley cartridge for the image and the sentiment.  All material is SU except for the stikles on the hat.  I added some faux stitching and doodling with a white gel pen.  I embossed the patterned paper with the checkerboard folder and my Cuttlebug.  I dragged my Versamark on the lettering and added some clear embossing powder so the shine is not everywhere.  It gives it a mottled look that, I think, fits with the card!

I also received my Action Wobble, woo hoo!!!  I used it behind the little guy!

I'm entering my card in 2 challenges:
Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 42: Emboss it
and My Pink Stamper Birthday challenge.
Enjoy,
Brigitte

Salty Santa

Good monday everyone,
I made this card using a technique that I learned at Splitcoaststampers.  It's very easy and requires ingredients readily available.
I used Stampin'Up ink and paper.  The background is a glossy card stock with reinker from SU.  The Santa is from the Very Merry Tags cartridge.  I put some Glitter Ritz on the circle for some sparkle!  The punch is Martha Stewart, my favorite!!!  I made the bow with the Bow Easy, it's my first quadruple bow.  If you don't believe me, click on the picture to see it bigger, lol!
I'm entering this card with Bitten by the Bug 2:
The challenge this week is to use the Santa from the Winter Frolic cartridge (pg.53 in the handbook) or you can use ANY Santa from ANY cartridge if you don't have Winter Frolic and you want to play along.
Hope you enjoy this simple card,
Brigitte

Peachy Keen Stamp challenge: Paper bag

Hi, I hope you had a great week-end.  We went to our first Christmas party of the year.  I even won a prize!!!
This time, at PKS challenge, we have to use a paper bag and also one of their stamps.
I used the paper bag as the background, because it's so thin, it embosses beautifully!  I used the Cracked folder with my Cuttlebug.  I stamped my favorite PKS face, Basic Paper Doll!  The other stamp is from SU as is the ribbon and the rest of the card stock.  I colored the scene with my new Copics, I still don't feel confortable with them but I guess it will come with time!
The star is cut using my faithful Expression and the George and basic shapes cartridge.  The gold piece of paper is actually a piece of white card stock and I smeared gold ink with an ink pad around the edges.  It's a lot cheaper than buying gold paper!!!  I got this tip from  Carousel Rubber Stamps.

Candles for Christmas

Happy hello to everybody!
I just finished these candles for my mother-in-law.    She's super sweet and we're staying with her for a week over Christmas.  I will also bring her some homemade meals and cookies!!!
I made the sleeve to go over the candles with Stampin Up ribbon,  card stock and patterned paper.  The punches are Martha Stewart.  I used Winter Lace for the Snowflake and Doodlecharm for the snowman, the scarf and accessories are from Snow Friends.  I put some Glitter Ritz to add some sparkle, it doesn't show up very well in the pictures!  Also, I added stickles, it sticks to candle :)
The cute face is a stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps.

I wanted to make sure that the candles would still be pretty when in use.  So I stamped some images on tissue paper (not toilet paper, lol!!!).  And then, I put it on the candle, put a sheet of wax paper over it and melted lightly with my heat gun.   I learned this when I was a Stampin'Up demonstrator ages ago.

I'm entering my candles in the following challenges:
Imagine-Nation at My Creative Time:  a gift
Flaut It Fridays:  use the Winter Frolic snowman. I don't have this cartridge, this is why I used Doddlecharm instead.
Hope you like it and that she (my mother-in-law) will also like it!

Jolly card

Hello everyone,
I made this Christmas card using my Copics.  This was actually the very first time I used them.  It just took me some courage to put it up!!!

Don't you think he's such a cutie?  The stamps and paper is SU.  The ribbon is from Walmart.  I don't really like the base card colour, but I have a ton of it, so I sprayed it with Walnut ink.  I think it looks vintage and I like it!  I used a little punch from SU for the corner of the tag.  I put some faux stitching around the card and added some buttons from my stash.
I entered it in One Stop Craft Challenge .
Hope you enjoy,
Brigitte

Hope you enjoy,

You're invited to participate in a good cause!

Hi,
At Turned Gypsy, Chris has a great idea to send cards and tags for little boys and girls in hospital.  I will send her those 2 cards by the mail on Monday:

I used the Hello Kitty Greeting and the new Lite cartridge Jolly Holidays.
For the little girl card, I used the card feature at 5 1/2" and cut all the layers.  I sponged and added some white accents.  The green shimmery elements are made with Glitter Ritz.  All paper and inks from both cards are SU.
For the elf, I cut him at 3 1/2" and I had to do some creative cutting since it's not on my Gypsy yet!!!  On the white trim, I put some Liquid Appliqué and then some stickles on the green.  The face is Basic Paper Doll from Peachy Keen Stamps.
I'm entering the Elf card on PKS Let's Face it Friday.  It had to be an invitation to a party.  This card is to make sure that kids all over America gets a little party, even in the hospital!
I just wanted to thank Michelle at Purple Monkey Moments for telling me where she saw the new Lite cricut cartridges.

The sentiment means Thanks in french!

Wedding invitation

Hello crafters,
I'm posting this card for a Wedding invitation challenge at The Scrapbooking Queen.  Her daughter is getting married and she wants a unique designed invitation that is both elegant and incorporate her colours (sapphire blue, black and silver).
I used the Icon creative feature of Wild Card cartridge at 1.5" real size.  I embossed the Pacific Point cardstock with the D'vine Swirl folder and then inked it with silver.  The stamp is Watercolor Minis from SU, the rest of the material is also from SU except for the ribbon.  The cardstock is silver but it looks white in the picture.  I used Bow Easy to make the bow, don't know what I would do without it!!!  I added some stickles to the bride so she can shine for her special day!
I hope you, and specially the bride-to-be, enjoy,
Brigitte

Kisses Christmas card

Hi everyone,
I've been waiting to post this card for a few days now.  I received a Cottage Cutz die set that I won by leaving a comment on Paper Punch Addiction blog.  It's the cutest little monsters with 3 differents PKS monster faces.
Since I received it last week, after Halloween, I decided to be creative.  This is what I came up with:
I cut just the head portion of the monster to make some Kisses!!!  I then stamped some PKS, more specifically, Retro Paper Doll, Funshine and Dolly Dumplins faces.  I used the Forever Young cartridge for the box and Christmas Cheer for the leaves.  I added some bling with my I-Rock, sponged the edges  and doodled with a white and Early Espresso marker.  I made the little Kisses tail with some tissue paper and stamped on it with Sweet Talk from SU (might be retired?)  The paper, ribbon and ink is SU.   The sentiment is from my local craft store, can't remember the name of the company.
This is the inside of the card, I managed to glue the strip of paper crooked, lol!!!
I hope you enjoy, leave me some comments telling me how you like it, or not!
