Candles for Christmas

Happy hello to everybody!
I just finished these candles for my mother-in-law.    She's super sweet and we're staying with her for a week over Christmas.  I will also bring her some homemade meals and cookies!!!
I made the sleeve to go over the candles with Stampin Up ribbon,  card stock and patterned paper.  The punches are Martha Stewart.  I used Winter Lace for the Snowflake and Doodlecharm for the snowman, the scarf and accessories are from Snow Friends.  I put some Glitter Ritz to add some sparkle, it doesn't show up very well in the pictures!  Also, I added stickles, it sticks to candle :)
The cute face is a stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps.

I wanted to make sure that the candles would still be pretty when in use.  So I stamped some images on tissue paper (not toilet paper, lol!!!).  And then, I put it on the candle, put a sheet of wax paper over it and melted lightly with my heat gun.   I learned this when I was a Stampin'Up demonstrator ages ago.

I'm entering my candles in the following challenges:
Imagine-Nation at My Creative Time:  a gift
Flaut It Fridays:  use the Winter Frolic snowman. I don't have this cartridge, this is why I used Doddlecharm instead.
Hope you like it and that she (my mother-in-law) will also like it!
Brigitte

  2. So cute. I have made something somewhat similar for a blog hop I'm a part of next week. I think that a dressed up candle makes such a cute decoration. You did great!
