Snowman ornament

Hello,
It took me all morning to make this ornament.  If you have seen my blog before, you might notice that the pattern of my snowman is the same as my pumpkin centerpiece.  I just put 3 spheres together.
This is for Let's Face it Friday at Peachy Keen Stamps.
I embossed the pieces of cardstock with the Snowflake folder, then sponged Soft Sky on them and added some embossing powder.  I made the little hat with some black paper and the button are made with a punch and stickles.  The ribbons are SU.
I like PKS so much, that I couldn't decide with stamp to use, so I picked 2 and made my ornament reversible!!!  It can be used as a centerpiece or suspended.
I added a lot of hot glue to the bottom of my snowman so he can stand up by himself. The bigger circle dimension is 1 1/2" wide by 8 1/2" long, the middle one is 1" by 6" and the head is 3/4" by 4".
I hope you enjoy, I certainly had fun making him!!!

Very Vintage Christmas card!

Hello crafters!
I made a Christmas card, another one, lol!!!  Emma at My Creative Time has a challenge:

****Challenge is based on "ORIGINALITY"
****Must be an "CHRISTMAS" theme project!
****Use "CELEBRATIONS" cartridge OR if you do NOT own this cart, feel free to use any older cartridge you have just as long as it's a "CHRISTMAS THEME"!
****Must be an ORIGINAL project made especially for THIS challenge
****ONE entry Per Person Please.
****Deadline for project will be WEDNESDAY, Nov. 3rd @ 6:00pm PST

I don't own the Celebrations cartridge, so I used the Christmas Card cartridge.  I know that it's a new cartridge, but I didn't use it yet so I decided that it was OK!  I use the new SU colors, they're awesome!!!  The paper and ink is SU.  I sponged the edges and added some bling with my new I-Rock.  I put some accent with a white gel pen and added a brad that I hammered.
I like the overall effect, I think it's really vintage.
I hope you have a wonderful week-end,
Brigitte

Pink Christmas

Hi everyone,
Today I made a Christmas card for my niece.  She loves pink and the Princesses.  It just happened to fit right into My Pink Stamper episode 248 Pink Christmas.  I used Princesses Happily Ever After cartridge  and the hat is from Pooh and Friends.  The paper and ink is SU, the patterned paper is K & Company and the ribbon is from Wallmart.
I embossed the background with the D'vine Swirl folder and added bling with my new I-Rock!!!  Loooove it :)
For the hat, I put some liquid appliqué and, when it was still wet, I poured some crystal snow on top of it.  I let everything dry and then puffed it up with my heat gun!  I love the result!

Here is a close-up of the hat:

Hope you like it,

Imagine Nation Polka Dot challenge

Hello,
I just made a card for Emma's Imagine Nation challenge.  It had to be a project with Polka dot using our Imagine.  If you don't have one, like me, just make something that looks like you have one.  Aka, patterned paper.

I used paper that looks vintage, it reminds me of some Imagine project I've seen.  I made a Christmas card, again, lol!!!  It's my favorite holiday for crafting!
I used Doodlecharm for the tree and Gypsy Font for the background tags.  The cardstock and ribbon is SU.  The polka dot paper is from K & Company.  I didn't think the polka dot showed up well so I added stickles!  The other patterned paper is from SU.  I used the swiss dot folder for the sage shadow tag.  For the final touch, I added some white gel pen accents and sponged around the edges.
I think that would make a nice card for a guy.  (Did you notice that the word guy is one letter away from ugly?!!!  I was typing and, like usual, I went too fast and it started with ugy!!!  Just wanted to share with you my silly thought :)
Hope you enjoy,
Brigitte

I had to update this post!!!I just got back from Michaels and bought an I-Rock.  It rocks!!!!  So I added some bling to the card.
You can click on it to see it bigger.
Thanks for watching!

Cupcake birthday card

Hi everybody,
Today I made a card after watching My Pink Stamper Ustream video.  The challenge was to make a card using the colors pink, purple and green/brown.
I choose that cute little cupcake from Create a Critter cart and cut it at 3.75 inches.  I cuttlebugged the icing with swiss dot folder and sprayed some Shimmer Glimmer to add some dimension.  I put some crystal effect on the cherry and added some white gel pen accents.  The cute face is from PKS and all material from SU.
I didn't put any sentiment , I will wait till I know if I need to use french or english wording!
As soon as I figure out how to upload my card to Robyn's challenge post, I will do it.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and watch my projects!

Sport theme Thursday throwback

Hi everybody,
Today I made a card for Emma's challenge.  It had to be sport related.  I decided to make a little ballerina.  I did ballet for many years and I know how much of a workout it is!  I used the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.  The paper is SU and the cute face is from PKS.  I added some crystal effect to make the eyes shine and also some stikles on her shoes and bow.  I decorated with some white gel pen and a piece of ribbon.  The green cardstock got cuttlebugged with seeing spots.

If you can believe it, the background paper started as a white sheet of cardstock.  That's how it started:
This is how the magic happened:  I put some doublesided tape on the paper.  I stuck some ribbon on it and I sprinkled purple Glitter Ritz on top.  I then removed the ribbon and added the violet highlight Glitter Ritz(white shimmering effect) .  Et voila, original pattern paper that you won't find anywhere else!!!
I love how it turned out, she looks ready for a dance recital!!!

PKS challenge 39: Wrap it up

Today I made some Christmas tags for the challenge.

THE CHALLENGE:
Create elements used in wrapping a gift. There are no limitations, if you have Peachy Keen Stamps, you are encouraged to use them!
Ideas for elements are: tags, gift wrap, gift card holders, and note cards. :)
I started with some wooden tags from Lee Valley Tools and I cut them with a sizzix die template in my cuttlebug.
Then, I cut some decorations with my Cricut using different cartridges. The snowman and reindeer is from Doodlecharm, the ornament is from Christmas Village and the scarf, nose and hat is from Christmas Cheer.
The paper, ink and ribbon is SU. The cute little faces are from PKS, I had to be creative since I own only a few stamps from them and I don't always have the proper size!!! I added some white and black pen accents as well as some stikles and fake rhinestone. When the time for giving gifts comes, I will just add names on it. Hope you like what you see, Brigitte

Tigger card for a girl with Leukemia

Hello,
Today I made a card for a little girl (6 years old) that has leukemia.  I read the help message from Joy at Obsessed with Scrapbooking.  You can see the complete message here with her address.
I used Pooh and friends cartridge cut at 5".  I added some stikles to my cuttlebugged background.  The paper is from SU.  I think the ribbon (from Michaels) fits with the leopard pattern!!!  The girl likes pink, butterflies and anything girly.
I even signed the cats name!!!
I stamped some butterflies on the envelope.
I hope that everybody can offer some though for Trisha and her family and maybe send a card also.

Christmas Cards and Imagine Nation Monday challenge

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I went to my local craft store for their 16th birthday!  They had door prizes and show and tell.  If you brought a card, you got a discount on your purchase.  Also, you could bring canned goods for charity and that gave you an even bigger discount!!!  The store is Carousel Rubber Stamp in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia (Canada).  They're awesome and always so nice.
Here is the card I brought:
It's another acetate card, I just love that technique!!!  I used one of the stamp I bought at the store.  The paper is SU and I used Christmas Cards cartridge for the frame, I removed some of the details with my Gypsy.  I then added the red pom-pom, I think they look so cute!

For my second card, I want to participate at Imagine Nation Monday Challenge:

The challenge is to use a Stamped Image or Sentiment in your project!
  • Must be a new project, for this challenge.
  • If you have an Imagine, you must use it-
  • If you don’t have an Imagine, then make an Imagine-like project
I decided to make something that I learned at the store.  I don't own an Imagine, so I used my expression to make a template (like a stencil).  I chose the Christmas trees in Doddlecharm and welded 3 of them with my Gypsy.  I then use embossing paste:
The stamped image, paper and ink are from SU.  I sprayed some gold Shimmer Spritz and added some stickles and crystal effect.
To emphasize the distress look, I hammered my brads.
Have a great day,
Brigitte

Pumpkin that won't go bad!!!

Hello,
I finally decided to put a pumpkin out.  The only thing is that I'm not good at carving, so I decided to glue a scene to it and I can use it for next year!
This project also fulfill two challenges:
-PKS Let's face it Friday, Create a home decor item based on a harvest/fall theme
-EAD Fall color challenge, using rust, olive, caramel and chestnut.
I used the Paper Doll Dress up cartridge for all the cuts. Then I stamped all the faces with PKS. The pumpkin costume is made with Glitter Ritz. I love that stuff!!! I added some stickles and sponged for some dimension. I sprayed some Sheer Shimmer Spritz on the sky.

The alien's face is peeking from the eye hole!
 Have a great day!

Teddy "Bear" Christmas card

Hi everyone,
I made this cute card and it's good for two different challenges:
-Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge was to make an animal theme card with Everyday Paper Doll
-and My Pink Stamper is to make something with a child or for a child.
Since I don't have any children of my own, I decided to make a Christmas card for my almost 2 years old nephew.

I used the bear from Everyday Paper Doll page 45 shift accessories 3.  I added a beard and a hat from Paper Doll Dress up.  I sponged the teddy bear for more depth and added some white gel pen accent.  I put some Iridescent Ice emboss powder on the hat (it's a lot better in real life).  I hope that my nephew will like it.  I didn't put any sentiment on it as he is too little to read it yet!!!

Centerpiece for Fall

Here's the centerpiece I made for Thanksgiving.  I got the idea from Erin at DCWV diary, click here to see her post and video.  Those sweet little pumpkins are really easy to do!
Here's a close up:

I made the leaves using various Cricut cartridges.  I used my Cuttlebug to emboss most of the pumpkins. I embellished them with some stikles, buttons and Shimmer Spritz.  The cardstock is from SU and the patterned paper is from Me & my big ideas.  This paper is amazing, I love the fall colors and the different textures!
I hope you enjoy,
Brigitte

Challenge at Turned Gypsy

Wow, 2 posts in one day, and I'm having some friends over for supper.  Maybe I should go check on my turkey instead, lol!!!
The challenge is to make a card with red and white.  Here's my project:
It's a very simple card.  The punch is MS, it's the only one I have so you may see it a lot!  I score the paper with my Scorepal and used my brayer to put ink on it.  The ribbon is from SU, I can't remember where I got the stamp from!  I used Glitter Ritz on the stamp and spray some Sheer Shimmer Spritz on the card stock.  Hope you enjoy,
Brigitte

Treat bag for Thanksgiving

Hi everyone,
Today is Thanksgiving in Canada and we're having some friends over.  They're bringing the kids and I made some treat bag for them.  I took the idea from Lorie at The Thinkin' Spot.  This is my version of it:
This is the kids table with their bags on it.  They're filled with chocolate (good luck parents, lol)!!!
They're all a little bit different.  I sponged the paper and added some stickles.  The girls got some ribbon on the top of the ghost head.  The lollipop idea is from MPS.
The stamps are from SU and Peachy Keen Stamp.
I don't know if you will believe it but the paper was yellow originally!
I hope that they will enjoy it!

Thanks for watching!

PKS Challenge 38

Hi, today I finally finished my project for Peachy Keen Stamp challenge.  It had to be an October inspiration, but it could't be a card.  I'm not a big scrapbooker so I decided to make an Halloween decoration to put in the window.
The whole project was made using Happy Haunting.  My Expression got a workout!!!  The tree is cut at 22" high, I had to use my Gypsy and use 2 card 12" x 24"!  I added the moon and the face for the tree after,  I didn't want to waste paper doing it the other way around.  I added some stickles and white gel pen details.
The pumpkin is cut at 4" and the spiders at 12.5" and 15" (real dial size off).  I used PKS for the cute spiders faces and added some black diamond stickles to their legs.
Paper, ink and ribbon is from SU.
Doesn't the tree looks mad to be surrounded by such a bunch?!!!
I hope you have a spooky day!

Thank Ewe card

Hi everybody,
I wanted to make a Thank you card for a friend, a guy!  So it had to be "normal" colors.  This is what I came up with:
All the materials are from SU.  I used the Just Because Cards Cricut cartridge and cut everything at 5".  This cartridge is so versatile and designing a card is a snap.  I added some details with black and white gel pen.  I like the way it turned out, I don't think it looks too girly!

ATG gun in Canada

Hello,
I just receive my order this morning from National hardware sale ltd and I ordered Monday night.  The customer service is amazing and the shipping couldn't have been faster!!!  I bought 1/4" and 1/2" tape as well as the red ATG gun and they called me to make sure that I already had the other gun(1/2") to go with it!  If you live in Canada, this is the place to get your tape and they have a sale going on right now.   They also deliver in the USA.   I was so excited that I took a picture of what I received:
I will have to paint the gun another color as well as my yellow one, but that's a project for another day.  I hope everybody has an amazing week-end.
  Happy Thanksgiving Canada (this Monday)

Card for my niece to be

Hello everyone,

My sister-in-law is going to have a little baby girl and I made a card for the occasion.
At the same time, it meets the prerequisite of Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge.  It had to be a shaped card and there had to be some orange (the color) on it.  Here is what I came up with:

The card stock, ink and ribbon is SU.  I didn't have ribbon that matched so I just dyed it and used the bow easy!  The pattern paper is Tim Holtz.  The stamp is Peachy Keen.  I added some stickles to the eyes and top of nose for some sparkle and used my white gel pen for accents.
Thanks for watching

Let's face it friday Week 2 Celebrating your muse

My muse are certainly my cats.  I have 4, but I couldn't fit  them all on one card! :)
The paper, ink and ribbon is from SU.  The black cat is from Sweethearts and the other one is from Everyday Paper Doll.  I cut the ovals with my Cricut and then put the top one through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss dot folder.  The cute faces are from Peachy Keen Critter faces.  Aren't they adorable!
As I was finishing my card, this is what I saw:
It's like they knew I was making a card about them!  I certainly had fun putting this project together, it's my first try with Peachy Keen challenge.

Challenge #7  Birthday card
My nephew will be 2 in November so I made him this card.  He loves trains and there's a sweet little monkey for my brother (he liked monkey when he was younger).  The card stock and button are from SU, the patterned paper is DCWV and I added some stickles to the wheels and the 2.  I can't wait to see his face when he tears open the envelope!
